ESCAPE YOUTH SERVICES

Welcome to Escape Youth Services

Open five nights a week, Escape is a drop-in facility for young people in Hawick and the surrounding area, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for socialising, personal development, and new opportunities. We offer a wide variety of activities, including creative media, games, sports, music, arts, baking and cooking, interest groups, issue-based sessions, excursions, and residential trips. The project has been successfully running for 19 years.

Drop-In Sessions

Holiday Programmes

Working together to enhance young people's lives & building positive futures. Our Drop-In sessions offer a safe place for our young people to come along, engage in activities that help build life-skills through baking, team leading, creative tasks, learning new skills. They also participate in set activities based off what the young people ask us for. The sessions also provide a chill out space for young people to enjoy free time to meet with friends and make new friendships.

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is a partnership youth work project that supports young people aged 10-18
in the Scottish Borders, with the aim of improving their emotional health and wellbeing, and
life chances.

Escape Youth Services have always provided fantastic holiday programmes in April, July/August & October. The programme will include different workshops from external professional who provide new and exciting opportunities. We also provide some trips depending on where the young people have selected. The programmes are available to all members and new members who perhaps are looking for something to do in the holiday periods. We also have a jam-packed week of activities.

Partnership Working

We pride ourselves in making sure that we continue to work alongside other agencies to provide the best person centered support available to young people. We continually look for ways to engage new young people and provide the needs of our young people while working with the other agencies/organisations.

We run a transition programmes that provide transition support to P7 pupils moving to secondary school.
